Luca invited us over today for an afternoon jam session so we hopped on our broom and practically ended up in Stockton rather than Palo Alto. Mommy was on the horn blabbering to Auntie Ro while trying to effectively maneuver the wet road conditions without killing us, thus our huge error in direction. It worked out well because the minute we started heading in the opposite direction, daddy buzzed us and wanted to play hookie and join in on our playdate. I told him it was ladies only with the exception of us little guys but mommy was all for the unexpected company. We swung through the city to fetch him and then off we went for some good times. As usual, Luca has about 400 signs committed to memory - the kid is unreal! And apparently, he refined his Italian on his most recent trip over to Italy in December so not only is he a sign master, but he's fluent in 2 languages. I know I have some catching up to do...if only my tired and weary mommy would get off the couch and teach me some things! Regardless of his ridiculous brilliance, I adore him! We get along famously well and have a ball jumping around, clapping and being silly. And his mommy Cara, boy is she some kind of entertainment. We love her so. Never a dull moment with her. And her belly is ever expanding with the little noodle she's growing inside of her. What's with all of these friends who are pregnant. Must be something peculiar in the water, eh? Now about daddy's short hair doo in the photos....he let mommy chop his locks off last night in the comfort of our kitchen - she proceeded to get a little wacky crazy with the shears. The funny part about it was that she did one side of his melon and then the razor thingy ran out of juice. The beauty shop reopened this morning at about 5:45am so she could finish the job before he went to work. Alert, Alert! One more sleep til Meema gets here.
