French women....some of them are a piece of work!!!! We took a drive to menton today which is about 2 kilometers from the Italian border and as we came into town, Sophie declared that she had to poo. Mama took her in to a restaurant and the woman refused to let them use the toilet unless they bought something. Since there was an obvious language barrier, mama flung some words across the counter and left. Enter Lauren. She then took Sophie in. Purchased a coffee, went to the potty, returned to fetch coffee and delivered Sophie back to the car. French woman followed Lauren out and gave her the stare down for fear of her stealing coffee mug. Thus irritating Lauren - she marched full cup of coffee back to restaurant and left it for the birds. Off to the beach we went where I then pooped on the french riviera. Had to leave my mark in the sand and stand up for mama!!! A full day at the beach allowed me to fully assess the French topless woman. And become utterly perplexed as to why anyone invented the speedo. Who really benefits from it, anyways? I discovered French ice cream today, as well as the coveted melon. Tonight we have 8 boy/girl scouts sleeping in the olive garden. Adri was approached a few days ago by two 16 year old boys who are on a summer pilgrimage with a gazillion other scouts. Saturday is their big night to leave the troop and find other accommodations. Of all places, they found us and are out in the garden with the wild boar. Hopefully, we wont be murdered in the night. Another rockin' dinner prepared by chef adri in about an hour or less. She's teaching all the ladies a thing or two in the kitchen. Daddy bought 18 bottles of wine today. Hopefully that'll get us thru the week. You should see the cheese selection at the store....hundreds to chose from. Same situation with yogurt. The baguettes here are amazing. As are the bananas. The taste is amazing. Stayed tuned for our adventure to a small village tomorrow that specializes in pottery.
