Fire! Fire!

Tonight was taco night at the homestead. Mommy lit all the candles in the kitchen and was grovin' to her relaxing music while preparing our feast. And then........a fire broke out and almost burned our humble abode down. She put the taco shells in the toaster oven and next thing she knew, gynormous flames were shooting out of the oven. We're not talkin' sparks here, they were real big flames! She yoddled for daddy who came running in to save the day. Mommy didn't know what the heck to do other than to try to extinguish the flames with the hot air from her mouth. Our resident fire chief came to our rescue! He unplugged the thing, dragged it off the counter on to the kitchen floor and then threw it outside where our taco shells burned to a crisp. (All the while, mommy was getting the death stare from daddy) We all practically suffered 3rd degree smoke inhalation burns to our lungs and the poor wall and cabinet took a real beating. Fear not though, dinner went on as planned shortly after the fiasco - we used the microwave to heat our shells this time around. And after dinner, mommy had a scrub fest and rectified the situation so that the cabinet and wall are now back to their previous state. Mommy's just wondering what she's going to do tomorrow morning without her toasted bagel.

OH MY! Good thing you have your own personal Fire Truck. Be sure and keep it parked close to the kitchen.... Rumor has it that you're back in business today and Mommy is heading straight for BB&B to replace the oven. Keep me posted.
