The clock is ticking as we approach our last week of vacation here in relaxing Palm Springs. Today our vacation just cost us an extra $126. While mama was doing dishes after lunch, a plate slipped out of her compromised hand.......she cut her finger almost to the bone this morning......and the plate then crashed into the hand made Italian berry bowl and broke a piece of it. Rather than stressing about it, she made a call to the store in San Francisco and voila....a new one is on the way. Meanwhile, while we are thrashing Meema's place, daddy is off enjoying his anniversary present from mama. We dropped him off at his favorite spot at 9am this morning, The El Moroccan Inn and Spa where he'll spend the next two nights basking in the silence that the fabulous place has to offer. Ohhh is mama ever envious and wishes she could sneak away too but alas, she has us to attend to. We told him last night that we were all going on an adventure today.....he had no idea that he was about to have a few days of R&R. His bags were packed and secretly loaded into the car as well as a tote full of food & even champagne on ice. Mama went out yesterday and bought him a few books he was wanting to read as well as a raft to lounge in the pool with. We are certain that he will just sleep the next few days away while we will be busy little bees around here....swimming, going for frozen yogurt and biking. Hopefully we won't break anything else around here, otherwise Meema might throw us out!!!!!
