After lugging 187 pounds of luggage through two airports, we have finally arrived in heaven. I didn't realize that the road to heaven wasn't paved. It's a long and bumpy dirt road surrounded by a sea of endless cacti. And, as we have experienced, it's a great place to pull the emergency break in the car and do donuts. We like to call it the McQueen! As in Lightening McQueen. Last night we almost ran through a barbed wire fence and into the prickly cacti. according to mama, this is the way you roll in Mexico. Surprisingly, daddy was the one driving! Oh, it is the good life here. Rustic and pristine. Miles and miles of untouched beaches. And the food....oh it is heavenly. Local, sustainable, organic and fresh as ever! Friday night we dined at the world famous hotel California that the Eagles supposedly wrote their song about. We dined next to Michael Stipe of REM. the chef came out to speak to mama about her culinary desires and then prepared a very delicious and nutritious meal for her, as it is somewhat difficult to maintain a vegetarian diet in this county. It was a top notch dinner. Plus, Sophie and I passed out with iPhone in hand thereby allowing mama and daddy to enjoy some quiet time and of course, their margaritas. Last night after a day at the pool and a three hour nap, we stumbled upon Carlitos. Asian fusion, who would have thought. It was scrumptious. And the al fresco dining was delightful, along with the fresh squeezed grapefruit martini's. This morning we paid tribute to mama and took her to the farmers market, which she of course loves more than anything else in the world. She had her aura and chakras cleared by a healer that was there, as did daddy. Unfortunately, we clogged her chakras back up the moment she was finished. After three hours of lounging around and having brunch, we headed up to the sister resort and spent the remainder of the day poolside. Yes, there is a swim up bar. And yes, we ordered smoothies while mama had the usual.....pineapple and Malibu. The place is perched on the cliffs and is quite spectacular. The price tag is hefty, $1,000 a night. we met a woman from Marin who said this is her version of roughing it. This is, without a doubt, Four seasons minus the wait staff and this broad had the nerve to say she is roughing it. this is exactly why mama will never move to marin. Oy. The women there. With the exception of Ms. mimi! And so now...mama remains poolside as the sunsets over the pacific. Daddy has escorted us to the room to put us to bed. Mama is socializing and indulging in her third margarita. And heading to the jacuzzi. Yes, she is indeed tipsy. She has just arranged a fishing trip for daddy in the morning. She'll forgo her yoga class so he can fish for Nemo. She is so giving, is she not???? She has arranged a surfing expedition for herself tomorrow afternoon with the chief workout guru at this place. The water is cold but she's willing to piss in her wetsuit to keep herself warm. More details to follow.......

Sophie pissed all over the welcome mat above as we entered the palatial hacienda today. She is the queen of class!
