After a four hour nap yesterday, mama and I had date night together. Sophie and daddy would have joined us but the little lady was so crabby that we had no choice but to leave her behind. We headed next door to the Hyatt and dined at an Asian fusion restaurant while daddy and crabby pants feasted on Mac n cheese. When we arrived home at 10pm, we were greeted at the door by ms. happy pants. Apparently, Sophie's ever changing moods were working in our favor. The beauty of our closeness in age is turning out to be a wonderous thing. We actually spend a considerable amount of time playing together without bothering mommy and daddy. Like now for instance. We have been playing together all morning while our keepers are lying in bed reading. Such a novel concept. Daddy woke up this morning feeling rather ambitious! He made us pancakes and eggs and even set the table on the balcony overlooking the ocean. Mama noted his efforts and was very thankful! The kitchen is still a disaster and it's anybody's guess as to who will attend to it. Mama has a phone appointment in 45 minutes with a doctor in an attempt to get some antibiotics. Every single time she travels she is struck down with a staph infection. It never fails. Proof that her body is over stressed by having to parent two wild and crazy kids. The weather here in Hawaii is fairly nice except for some wind and occasional clouds. We spent all of yesterday at the beach watching daddy boogie board. And then.....the highlight! Hawaiian shaved ice. Amazing. I'm hoping to get more of it!
