A very strange and peculiar oddity happened today. Mommy left the house at 11am and was no where to be found for hours. She rolled in at about 5:30pm. She hasn't done that in a long, long time. She indulged in a restorative yoga workshop while daddy was the man in charge of our spaceship. He took us to the park and even had 'a first' with Sophie. She's never been on a swing before, if you can believe that! Not sure why she hasn't. Maybe because I'm the one who gets to do everything at the park and poor little Sophie is always being toted around in the papoose. It just dawned on Mommy that she might just enjoy things too. Duh! Anyhow, we had a really terrific day with just daddy. And frankly, didn't seem to miss mama at all.

We're now gearing up for the major rain storm headed our way this week. I think we're going to light up the fireplace and drink hot cocoa for the remainder of the week. Maybe doing some baking as well. Mommy doesn't know how to schlep both of us around in the rain. None of us have boots or rain slickers just yet. Fortunately, one week from today we'll be basking in the Hawaiian sun!
