Mommy just bailed on us for 3 nights and took refuge at the El Moroccan Hotel & Spa in the luxurious town of Desert Hot Springs. Over the weekend she indulged in a colonic, yoga, a 90 minute massage, a mani/pedi, happy hour at the hotel pool and even snuck in some evening playtime with daddy once we went to bed. She also finished a book that took her 8 months to read. While she was off gallivanting, daddy arranged a swim play date with Lauren's mama, Teri and her 2 kids. As well as a swim fest with Hayley. Daddy also took us, along with Meema to a wonderful Italian restaurant where Sophie and I proceeded to make a nest on the floor and relax as we were extremely tired from our day at the pool. We spent Mother's Day at a very hip hotel in the company of Meema, Lynn and Hayley. Thankfully Hayley digs us and didn't mind taking Sophie & I on adventure around the hotel while the adults lingered after a most delicious brunch. Our mornings have been packed full of fun at the park with daddy while mommy does yoga. She's not sure what will become of herself once we return home. Her body is so flexible at the moment that she's afraid she'll fall apart once we return to reality. Today mama and daddy are celebrating their 3rd anniversary so they are sneaking off to dinner this evening. We are mentally preparing for our departure on Thursday when we go to Papa and Grandma's house for 2 nights and then back to Oakland on Saturday. Fortunately for us who love to vacation, daddy just booked our fall vacation to Hawaii today....airfare and all. Hopefully Luca, Matteo and Gaia will join us too! Hear that mama Cara??????? Get on the ball! Lynn and Hayley say they are coming with us which means we have built in care from Hayley. Mama refuses to travel without her staff of caretakers. Once we return from Hawaii, mama got clearance from daddy to spend 5 nights at We Care where she'll partake in a major food deprivation experiment the week before Christmas. She's dreamed of going there for years! Call her crazy to spend money on five long days and nights fasting.
