The Easter Bunny didn't disappoint this year! And he shouldn't have either considering that we left him carrots with the tops on as requested. Plus, 5 of Meema's chocolate chip cookies. He brought us baskets full of delights. Toys and candy....what more could a guy want? Plus an egg picker upper so we didn't have to actually bend over and get the egg while risking a back injury. He did a tremendous job of hiding 2 dozen eggs that were personally decorated by Sophie, Hayley and I - the last one took quite a while to locate since it was teetering on the top of a sign that wasn't in the line of little peoples sight. I couldn't figure out how a bunny could even jump that high to put it there. We had a wonderful morning up until the neighbor walked by and informed mommy that her windshield had been smashed to pieces some time during the night. I asked if it was the work of a posse of coyotes. Funny, eh? Officer Buckle came to take a report and after some detective work, it was determined that some jack ass had taken the 150 yard marker from the golf course and smashed the glass and then jammed the stake of it into the hood of the car. At first we suspected it was a bullet hole but it turns out that someone just needed to blow off some steam and jam it into our poor little car! Oh how mommy misses daddy during times like this when she has to manage the situation and take care of calling the cops & insurance company, getting the glass people to come out to reverse the damage and even figure out how to get the car seat out so we could take Meema's car to lunch. Despite the mishap, mama was able to make her favorite yoga class and put it in perspective. Somewhere along the line, she must have killed one too many spiders in our house creating some bad karma for this to happen to her. Hopefully by nightfall we'll have our car back in working order. Until then, we're the hip little eco family - traveling by bike!
