If you dare to spend a week in the company of xanah, you will risk the possibility of your liver shutting down from the incredibly strong, almost lethal cocktails she concocts. At 10am no less. It was part of her survival strategy...she hasn't had a vacation in years and it wasn't as relaxing as she remembers so she had to create as much relaxation as humanly possible. And that being in the form of cocktails, poolside. She departed yesterday and we are suffering from a mild case of depression because we had such a ball with her and Miranda. We didn't do much other than eat, drink, bike ride, hang out at the pool and indulge in a few meals out which did of course include margaritas. We spent so much time at the pool that I'm almost swimming without floaties on my arms. We've had a few days of rain this week so that interruption set us back a wee bit. Now we are moving full speed ahead in the swim department as there is nothing but blue skies in the forecast for next week. Mama doesn't mind the pool time since we entertain ourselves thus allowing her to sun tan/read with minimal interruptions! It's thoroughly enjoyable for her. She keeps talking about seeing some sort of light at the end of a tunnel. We are now anxiously awaiting the arrival of daddy - he flies in on Wednesday night. Hopefully he won't be too tattered and torn since he's been working 17 hour days for weeks on end. He will probably do nothing but sleep for the next few weeks but that's ok with us. Just having him around is enough. I really crave daddy time and I seem to talk about him often. The first item on our agenda is taking him to meet our new puppy, lulu Clifford rainbow giraffe bubbles porthos. Yes folks, you heard it right, that's her name at the moment. I'm sure it'll change numerous times but as it stands now, you can address her by her royal title.
