The three little loaded ladies

Mommy had 25 people over for dinner last Saturday night to celebrate her birthday. What a crazy zoo it was over here. Aside from having the sweet potato gnocchi completely dissolve in boiling hot water, everything turned out pretty well. Oh, there was Uncle Barry's small little error - he put the wrong sauce on the pasta but rinsed it off and voila, all was well. Lots of wine and beer was consumed. Especially by the birthday girl. There was a rather impressive cake that Lauren made. Boy was it fun! We were thrilled and touched that so many people came from far away places. We should have given out a prize for the people who had the longest journey. Auntie Ro and Uncle Ron would have won the prize since they drove 2 days to get to us. Oh, I forgot that Uncle Barry and Aunt Joan came in from New Mexico so technically, I think they might take the cake. At any rate, I was thrilled beyond measure to spend so much time with my peeps. And mommy too was happy to be surrounded by such wonderfully kind family and friends. Everyone who showed up got a very special invitation to her 40th birthday celebration at Villa de Bremasole. Either in Italy or the South of France next summer. We just lined up our chef who's coming along too - mommy's old roommate Adri who just spent the last few days at our house. She's a hot shot Miami chef who get this....used to work for Thomas Keller. Yes, that's the man behind the delightful French Laundry. She made us some tastey hot fudge last night that we poured over our ice cream. She won daddy over by that one. Anyhow, she says she'll of course come for the festivities. At any rate, we had a really marvelous weekend and want to thank all those fabulous folks who made such an effort to make it to our house for the weekend. It was thoroughly enjoyable by all that came. At least I think it was. If not, please leave your comments in the suggestion box for review.
